Some people think they are extremely healthy running marathons every weekend, but as this article points out, that can lead to heart damage. So think twice about doing 100+ marathons in a short time.

when it comes to running under hot heat for long distances, we’re superb, we’re the best on the planet.

Christopher McDougall: Are we born to run? | Video on TED.com

We run more efficiently because we only have 2 legs…we’re also the great at sweating (no fur)

Interesting talk about how we can run forever and other species can’t and in that way we could catch our pray for over a million years prior to inventing weapons…

Also praises no running shoes…

Just skimmed the transcript, not the vid….

Occam’s Protocol : The short version of this routine is: only about two workouts per week. Two to three exercises per workout and one set per exercise. I figure these workouts should take less than ten minutes each to perform, or less than 20 minutes a week of working out.

One Million Push Ups: Occam’s Protocol

Um, interesting idea, but I am not so convinced.

Just read Born to be Lazy | Brain Blogger.

Main point is that mice can be bred to be either lazy or exercise-aholics - meaning that desire to exercise is partly genetic. Of course the exercising mice were leaner etc.
