Cool video about the guy who can draw and shoot fastest, and has 18 records doing so. 2 shots seem like one. Guy shoots in 2 100ths of 1 second. Also, interesting he says wild west duels, popularized and sensationalized in movies, never occurred.
ok this is awesome. i need to learn how to do this. despite what your feelings are on strippers, the atheltic ability and strength of some of these girls is incredible. plus, they’re just doing it to put themselves through school, anyways.
Incredible. This feels more Circ du Soleil than sexy. It almost makes me feel like stripper pole should be added to the olympics - maybe as a part of gymnastics. Then again, one thing I like best about this is it feels creative and artistic. I think it’s more Circ du Soleil than olympics. Great Find :)
Female athlete sets new shot put record at age 100 - Yahoo! News
“The oldest female athlete at the World Masters Games in Sydney has broken a world record in the shot put — at the age of 100. All eyes were on Ruth Frith, from Brisbane, as she arrived for day two of the World Masters Games, hoping to win gold in the shot put and feeling pretty confident as she was the only competitor in the over-100s category. But her 4.07 metre (13 ft 4.2 in) throw on Sunday didn’t just win her gold, but also broke a world record. “As long as I didn’t foul I was going to win it,” Frith told Reuters Television. The great-grandmother is also a keen hammer and javelin thrower and believes other pensioners should follow her example. Frith trains five days a week, regularly lifting 35 kg (77 lb) weights. She doesn’t drink or smoke and she doesn’t eat vegetables either, claiming she hasn’t liked them since she was young.”

The record-breaking kayaker who risked life and limb in a 186ft waterfall drop | Mail Online(via hilker:)
“Perched on the brink of a 186ft drop, this was the moment when Tyler Bradt probably felt the urge to start frantically paddling backwards.
Less than four seconds later, he was celebrating a world record for kayak descents.
The 22-year-old American touched 100mph as he plummeted over Palouse Falls in eastern Washington.
Amid an eerie stillness he fell 186ft in just 3.7 seconds as he touched speeds of 100mph in the terrifying descent.
After disappearing under the water at the base of the torrent, he emerged with a broken paddle. His only physical damage was a sprained wrist.
“Dirk Auer, a 36-year old dare devil, roller skated down a roller coaster. He created 16-wheeled inline skates that fit on the rails and helped him to reach top speeds of 56mph. He made it through the 2,822 foot Mammoth coaster in Stuttgart, Germany in just over a minute. Congratulations?” (via A Real Roller Coaster | Offbeat Earth)
This would be really fun..although I’d want something to hang onto just in case…Something coming out of the inline skates I could grab onto for stability if I really needed it…
