No Einstein in Your Crib? Get a Refund - NYTimes.com

Walt Disney Company is now offering refunds for all those “Baby Einstein” videos that did not make children into geniuses.

“We see it as an acknowledgment by the leading baby video company that baby videos are not educational, and we hope other baby media companies will follow suit by offering refunds,” said Susan Linn, director of Campaign for a Commercial-Free Childhood, which has been pushing the issue for years.

I see this as shocking and yet expected in some ways - sort of an amazing story about how the public got duped.

Conan O'Brien Joke Doesn't Fly With Newark Mayor, Gets Talk Show Host Barred From Airport - ABC News

“The Tonight Show” host made a crack about New Jersey’s largest city last week, saying: “The mayor of Newark, N.J. wants to set up a citywide program to improve residents’ health. The health care program would consist of a bus ticket out of Newark.”

Some may have found it funny, but the mayor of Newark, Cory Booker, wasn’t laughing.

Mayor Booker posted an “official” YouTube video blasting the late night host and informing the Irish-American comedian he isn’t welcome at his city’s major airport.

Suing A Tenant Over A Tweet

A landlord is suing a tenant for 50,000$ because she tweeted about her “moldy apartment” to her 17 followers on twitter.

the Tweet that spurred the lawsuit read, “Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon realty thinks it’s okay.”

Horizon Group Management’s Jeffrey Michael told the Chicago Sun-Times that his company is a “sue-first, ask-questions-later kind of an organization.”

I hope that people see this story, and start to hate what Horizon Group Management did, and choose to live elsewhere when they have a choice…
